Our lovely, sunny loft studio was created by Clare Maddalena, to offer classes and workshops for pregnant women, mums & dads to-be, new parents, babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

Set in the heart of Brighton’s North Laines, come to relax, recharge and feel nourished on your unique adventure throughout pregnancy, birth and becoming a mum. This is also our Brighton HQ for our pregnancy yoga & birth prep classes, LushTums – you can find LushTums classes popping up all over Sussex!


Are you pregnant?

We have been specialists in Pregnancy Yoga since 2007 and have taught over 2500 women from Brighton and Sussex! We are now highly recommended by Midwives, Doulas & Mamas alike – something we are very proud of.

Our LushTums Pregnancy Yoga classes at Yoga Mamas and around Sussex are suitable for complete beginners (after 16 weeks) or experienced yogini’s (at any time). It’s ok if you are new to yoga when you start – most people are!

We provide friendly, down-to-earth, easy-going, informative pregnancy & birth preparation. Our teacher training course and all our teachers are fully  accredited FEDANT antenatal educators. Our classes are also recognised by Yoga Alliance, which is the highest mark of excellence in this field.

If you take any movement or yoga related pregnancy or birth class, make sure its got the Yoga Alliance stamp – like we have!

Keep yourself fit, healthy and comfortable as your pregnancy progresses and all the while learn tried & tested breathing and movement techniques that can actually really help you when you are giving birth. Check out what other mum’s have said about our classes.

Are you preparing for Birth?

We are passionate about birth!! Join the LushTums Preparing For Birth Couples Workshops, with Yoga Mamas, Clare Maddalena, and guest midwife – we provide the perfect balance and provide everything you need to know to prepare for birth. Choose for an Intensive 4 hour workshop – we run these every 6 weeks. Or you can spread your course our over a month – 2hr session, every Thursday evening for 4 weeks.

We also work closely with Hypnobirthing course teachers, who run monthly group sessions or 1-2-1s too. If you sign up early you can receive a discount. If its good enough for Kate Middleton, its good enough for you too! Contact us for details.

Or if you are looking for a Doula (birth companion) to support you throughout birth, let us know. We engage with a small team of wonderful local doulas who are all on hand for you.

We believe in giving you some key tools to empower you to welcome, enjoy and navigate pregnancy, birth and becoming a mum, as your own unique experience that it is! We are here to fully support you, signpost and give you that all important haven of time out. Find out more, just click here!




Have you just had a Baby?

The postnatal phase can last up to 2 years (yikes!!) so it is really important new mums take time out to build up strength and fitness and bring in calm, whilst energising yourself and have some fun. Let alone to do something strengthening for those pelvic floor muscles and achy backs & shoulders! So check out our LushTums Postnatal Yoga classes, ‘Bring Baby Too’ – so you can practice with your baby by your side.

Once strong enough, progress on to Yoga Fit with Clare (suitable from 6months or for women generally). Or try one of our many yoga, pilates or dance classes.

Pop along with your baby to the Mindful Mamas Meet Up to try some yoga, relaxation and hear from visiting guest experts – great for new mummies. A welcoming and kind space, where you can share where you are at and be fully listened to and supported.

Adult Well-Being Classes

We have lots of yoga & dance for everyone. Try Yoga Fit (once Baby is in bed!), Vinyasa Flow, Pilates for Mums & Dads & Queer Yoga. On the dance front have a go at Tap or New York Style Ballet. Details for general classes for everyone can be found here.



Cool Classes for Babies, Little Ones, Pre-schoolers & Kids

Ah we have some great classes going on for these little ones! Try Parent & Toddler Yoga, Kids Karate, Musical Bumps, Lingo Tots French & Spanish, Messy Boots Creative Arts, Magic Moves Dance and Hartbeeps!!! Phew! Become a LushTums Teacher

Train with Clare Maddalena, owner of Yoga Mamas Studio, Brighton & LushTums School of Pregnancy, Yoga & Antenatal Education is a registered Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT) with Yoga Alliance UK. This accreditation demonstrates excellent standards as set by Yoga Alliance UK. Clare is also registered as an Antenatal Educator with awarding body FEDANT. Our LushTums Pregnancy Yoga & Birth prep Teacher Training programme is also in its own right fully accredited by these two awarding bodies.
